A Great List of

THINGS TO DO

Epagneul Bretons were born to hunt, yes, but that's not all they can do.  Our members and current owners have shown that this breed is highly intelligent and capable of holding their own against the big dogs in all sorts of venues.

HUNTING

This goes without saying.  Whether it's Montana Sharptails, New Mexico Quail, New York Ruffed Grouse, or some Ducks and Geese, this breed can tackle them all.

TRIALING & HUNT TESTS

The CEB-US runs UKC Field Trials.  Dogs are judged on style and completion of certain elements within a field sequence.  AKC and NSTRA also hold field trial like events.

Hunt tests, like AKC Master Hunter or NAVHDA, are judged on a set of standards and typically do not include the movement or style of the dogs gait in the field.

Conformation Shows

Epagneul Bretons can only be shown within the UKC system for conformation.  They are the only registry that recognizes the breed.

OTHER VENUES

This breed has shown success in many other competition venues as well.  Check out the AKC or UKC web pages for local events near you.

Family Pets & Companions

Known for being 'Angels in the Home', EB's make excellent additions to many families.  They are quick to house train, crate train, and great with kids and other dogs.
